DS Lite – Factory Reset

Reset Nintendo DS Lite

  1. Use the Phillips size 0 screwdriver to loosen the screw on the DS Lite’s battery compartment. The compartment is on the back of the unit. Remove the cover.
  2. Take out the DS Lite’s battery pack. Carefully insert the end of the screwdriver or your fingernail into the tab at the top of the battery pack compartment and pop it out.
  3. Leave the battery pack out of the unit for at least 10 seconds.
  4. Replace the battery pack. Line it up within the battery compartment and push it back into place.
  5. Put the battery compartment cover back on by sliding its tabs into the slots on the unit. Push the cover back into place and tighten the screw with the Phillips screwdriver.
  6. Turn on the DS Lite. If the unit has reset, a screen will prompt you to adjust your system settings.

PlayStation Portable – Factory Reset

PlayStation Portable

  1. Remove the battery from the left side of the PSP while it is still on. The unit will power down instantly. Wait ten seconds and then replace the battery.
  2. Press both clear shoulder buttons at the top of the PSP and keep them held while the PSP reboots. A “Recovery” mode will be initiated.
  3. Press down on the control pad to locate a “recovery” folder. This will contain all of your PSP content, including games, music, videos and podcasts that are saved on the device. Highlight this folder and press the “X” button to begin reinstalling your content.

Wii – Factory Reset

Reset the Video Output of the Nintendo Wii

  1. Power on Wii, give it a few seconds to boot
  2. Hold DOWN on the directional pad of the Wii remote
  3. While holding DOWN, press the RESET button on the Wii

XBOX 360 – Factory Reset

Reset XBOX 360 Video Output

  1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
  2. Turn off the console.
  3. Turn on the console.
  4. If you are using a wireless controller turn on the console by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller (Make sure you use the player1 controller)
  5. Once the controller has turned on press and hold the Y button whilst pulling the right trigger.
  6. The Console will automatically reboot and video settings will be returned to defaults.

Reset XBOX 360 Failed System Updates

  1. With the console off, press and hold the sync up button.
  2. While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
  3. Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
  4. During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Reset XBOX 360 All Installed Game Updates

  1. Go to the “system” blade
  2. Select “memory”
  3. Press Y on the HD symbol
  4. Press X,X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X
  5. A message will appear saying: “Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?”
  6. Select Yes

PlayStation 3 – Factory Reset

PlayStation 3 Recovery Menu

  1. Turn off Playstation 3.
  2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
  3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
  4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
  5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
  6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

Hard Reset

  1. Power Off the PS3 via the power switch in back and power back on w/switch.
  2. Hold Power Button on the Front until you hear 3 beeps.
  3. Then go through the initial setup and then run a full Format via System > Format. (This will take some time!!)

Reset PlayStation 3 Video Output

  1. Turn off the power to your PS3
  2. Turn it back on again
  3. Whilst turning it on hold down the power button until you see something on the screen.

This will completely reset the video output of your PlayStation 3 to the factory default output, once done you can then go into the PlayStation 3′s video settings and configure them to your liking.
